Wishing things were brighter...

Hello all,

The mood in the office is as gloomy as the sky outside. It would be better if the management team would just announce the list of impacted applications and personnel so that people can start making choices for the future. Instead of doing that, I keep getting mail from my director saying things like:

I know this is a difficult time, but we must all do our part to keep this company running successfully. Always remember that you are the key to making this company a leader in the telecommunications industry.

Doesn't it make you want to stand up and cheer? Wow... we are the key that makes this company run so well. Great... just tell me if I am going to IBM or not. Then I can make plans for the future.
