Amyloid

Hello all,

I am writing you tonight with a heavy heart. My dad's goal when checking into NU Medical Center was to have his condition diagnosed. Today, he received his diagnosis: amyloid. It was the diagnosis that he was trying to avoid. It is an incurable disease. They will treat him and try to force the disease into remission.

My sister Danna called me tonight. We spoke briefly. More was said by not saying anything. She counseled me not to think of the worst, but to continue to pray and think the best of the situation. Our father is strong and his organs are in good shape.

Funny... I left work today thinking how bad it was that I am no longer a Sprint employee. I complained about possibly being moved to Gardner, Kansas. Those monumental injustices don't seem that big at the present moment.

Send a prayer for Bill Scott in Omaha, Nebraska. He could use some luck.

Good night,

-Bill's son
Andy
