Getting out of the house!

Hello all,
 
Just a note to the Royals management.  Jen and I didn't go to the game today and they lost.  We went the last two nights and they won.  I think they should pay us to attend.  :)  Then maybe we would win more games.  Just a thought Mr. Glass.
 
As for reality, Jen and I got out of the house for a night without the kids.  We had Liz come over and watch Ali and Zac while Jen and I went to Ameristar to watch a friend of ours play in his band.  It was good music.  Jeff's band plays a lot of music from the '70s, '80s, and early '90s.  I was hoping to hear some Bon Jovi, but they didn't have the hair to pull it off.  :)  No offense Jeff, the set was great!
 
When  Jen and I returned home, we were pleased to hear that Ali and Zac were perfect angels.  It always makes you feel good to hear someone else say how good your kids were for them.  It validates your parenting skills. 
 
Now we are off to bed.  We have Vacation Bible School starting at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church tomorrow night.  Wish both Jen and I luck.  We will definitely need a break come next weekend.
 
One more thing, Jen and I are going to get pedometers to wear.  My friend Steve Brown publishes how many steps he takes daily.  Congratulations Steve on your 12,000 step day today.
 
Ok, we are off to bed for real this time.
