A winning night

It was about time the Royals won a game! They finally beat the Baltimore Orioles last night 4-3. It was a good game for the family to go see. Both Ali and Zac enjoyed the game. For the first time, Ali recognized our National Anthem and covered her heart with her right hand. I made took note of this and turned to allow Jennifer to see what she was doing.

Once the game started, it was time to cheer on the Royals. Ali and Zac know when it is time to clap and cheer. They are just too cute when they start cheering. The more they cheer, the more I smile.

By the end of the game, both children were very tired. Jen carried Zac and I carried Ali. In a few short minutes, we were on our way out of the stadium and the kids were starting to drift further to sleep with every mile. By the time we crossed over the river, both Ali and Zac were asleep.

The night was easy once we arrived at home. I put Zac to bed while Jen tucked Ali into their bed. It was quiet in the house. It was a perfect ending to a great night.
