Last day of a four day weekend

Hello again. Yes it is getting late in the night. Jen and I are watching ESPN Baseball. Zac is being rocked right now by mom. Ali is in bed. It has been a whirl wind weekend for the family. Today started at 7:00 with Zac coming into our bedroom asking for breakfast. Little did he remember that he didn't go to bed until after 11:30 last night. He didn't care. When Zac wants breakfast, no man can get him to forget about his food.

I pulled myself out of bed and poured some Cheerios into a bowl. I cracked a few eggs and started to make the two of us some scrambled eggs and toast. By the time the eggs were cooked, a third had joined the table. Ali decided to grace us with her presence. My four eggs were getting cut a little thin for the us boys. But Zac and I shared just fine with Ali.

With all the good smells coming from the kitchen, Jen decided she would join the family at the kitchen table. A small order of English muffins with strawberry jam was all she wanted. Yes, it was going to be an easy day today. We had a strong thunder storm last night. In that storm we received another inch. Just in case you care.

Anyway, as Jen and I were cleaning up after breakfast, Diane calls. She has another tree limb fall and would like me to come over with my chain saw. By 11:00, I was sawing up the remains of a tree limb.

After lunch, we decided to treat Ali to a game of mini-golf as a reward for potty-training. It was more an exercise for the kids. Here are two pictures of the kids.

After the putt-putt adventure, we took a dip in the pool. Ali and Zac had fun, but we had to cut it short for kid reasons. We returned back to Diane's for dinner and then home.

All in all, I think this has been a great weekend. I'm looking forward to having a three day week. My sister Nicole is getting married on Saturday! We are taking the laptop to Omaha as well as the digital camera. I hope to get a few pictures up before Sunday.

Good night.

-Andy
