UNIMED is open for business

Hello all,

Today Jennifer and I worked the entire day at the new office location on North Oak. This was my day off, but I spent it working at someone else's office. I must be a sick man.

The office is nice sized. The facilities need some TLC. I'm sure that Jennifer will have it spruced up in no time. At least the FAX/printer/copier is hooked up. Now all she needs is Southwestern Bell to fix her phones to make the second line not ring every time she gets a FAX.

OK, back to work tomorrow. Yee haa..

A day of days

Hello all,

This morning I woke up feeling better. How things would change in a matter of minutes. Soon after I woke up, I decided I would call my office and let them know that I would not be in again today. As I opened my phone to call my friend Steve, I see I missed a call from Chris Wilson at 4:58 PM yesterday.

A bad feeling comes over me.

I try to call Steve's PCS phone -- no answer.
I call Lisa Wear -- no answer.
I call Chris Wilson -- he answers but can't talk at that moment.

Dread is setting in...

Steve calls me back.

It turns out that IBM and Sprint Nextel have broken their contract. I am being moved back to Sprint Nextel sometime next week.

This is going to be a change. Change is for the best they say.

Feeling ill today

Hello all,

It should not come to you as a surprise, but Jen and I are feeling under the weather today. It may have something to do with being vomited on multiple times yesterday. Anyway, I'm feeling bad today.

Early morning

Hello all,

This morning started with both Ali and Zac vomiting at 4:15 AM. It was quite a day. Every 15 minutes mount St. Ali or mount St. Zac would erupt like clockwork. It was a long day. I did laundry from 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM. I think every towel was used in our house at one time. It was exhausting.

Ready for the snow

Hello all,

Well it is nearly 60° F today, but tomorrow the weatherman is calling for snow and ice. How is a person suppose to not get sick if the weather continues to swing from Spring to Winter three times a month! I'm sure to be ill in a few days.

Off today

Hello all,

I've taken the day off today. I am going to take the kids to Pizza Shoppe for lunch and then take the kids down to Overland Park to see Jennifer at work. Not that much going on today other than spending time with the kids.

Nice day outside

Hello all,

Wow, I wish ever day in January could be this nice. It is almost 60° F outside today. If I didn't know any better, I would think I should mow the yard or something like that. Maybe rake the leaves or run around the block a few times.. :)

Of course this means that next week will be filled with ice and snow!

Great Weekend

Hello all,

What a great weekend for Jen's BeautiContorl business! Way to go Jen. You really worked hard to get your business's name out by reaching out to your clients. I'm very proud of your hard work.

Other than Jen's popular spa on Friday night, the family had a very nice time this weekend. It was above 70° F on Saturday and Ali and I took a walk to Oak Grove Park for some Dad / Daughter time on the slides. She had a ball running around the playground. She even took a turn on the monkey bars. This is a huge step for Ali since she doesn't like to do anything without knowing how it will turn out. She managed to make it three bars before asking for my help. At that time, I helped her keep her grip as she traversed the remaining four bars. Way to go Boo!

That night Marcy and David Reno dropped by to play cards and let our kids play. It is great to have friends that like to play cards. It reminds me of mom and dad going to Dick and Rita Costello's on Fridays and playing cards while the kids played in the basement. Oh the fun we had....

It was a great weekend...

Goodnight,

Fun night out

Hello all,

Jennifer and I celebrated the New Year in with style. We attended a celebration at the downtown Marriott and had the time of our lives. We played blackjack for a while for free and won a free night's stay at the hotel. I also won one of six door prizes of the night.

The best part of the night was dancing with my wife. It had been a long time since Jen and I had been on the dance floor without a kid running around us. You looked great tonight Jennifer... Wow.. absolutely amazing.

New Year

Hello all,

It has been a while since I last updated my BLOG. Sorry for the wait... I have been struggling to find the words to say. Last year was a very difficult year for me and my family. How do you sum up all of the events that shaped your life in a few paragraphs? The answer is simple, I don't have to. It is all here. Day by day you and I have been sharing this journey. You know everything that I have made public. 2005 was filled with sadness and loss. My hope is this new year be filled with joy and happiness.

To your family from mine, Happy New Year.
